A workbench for one tattoo task

Explore a tattoo cover-up or a careful rework

Bring a clear image of the existing tattoo and choose whether to cover the motif or retain it in a rework. These two tasks need different instructions and different expectations.

Your form and selected files stay in this tab. Local previews do not upload images or spend credits.

Choose the kind of change

PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MB. Decoded images above 40 megapixels are rejected. Choose only images you have permission to use.

This button prepares upload copies locally, uploads selected images together, and starts the AI request in the studio. Larger files are optimized to 1.8 MB or less per image; fine detail may change. Original files remain in this tab. Your selected model and existing credit rules apply. No AI request runs while you fill out the form.

Plan the next step

  1. Photograph the existing tattoo clearly and upload the source. Choose cover-up for a new motif over the old work, or rework to keep the recognizable motif while improving its composition.
  2. Describe the subject, darker areas you accept, surrounding work to preserve and approximate room for a larger design. Cover-up concepts ask for bold coverage; rework concepts ask to retain the original motif.
  3. Start the explicit AI request and keep the source for comparison. Bring both the source and the proposed concept to a tattoo artist for an assessment of the old ink and available space.

AI cannot inspect healed skin or guarantee that a new design will cover old ink. The concept may need more size, darker values or several sessions. Only an artist who assesses your tattoo can judge physical feasibility.
