Lily tattoos: trumpet, open, recurved

These lily tattoo studies follow true Lilium-type forms: a side-facing trumpet-like bloom, an open pink flower and a downward flower with strongly recurved tepals. Long flower parts and narrow leaves create different outlines from lotus, water lily, calla or spider lily. The illustrations are not identified cultivars. Compare flower direction and space around the projecting stamens before deciding how much spotting or color to retain.

Curated concept artwork. Placement tags suggest adaptations of flat designs; they are not on-skin previews.

A starting brief for your artist

Name the flower direction and mark bloom width including recurved tips or projecting stamens. Specify pink accents or black and grey. Ask the artist to preserve the main tepal overlaps and distinguish the central pistil from surrounding stamens when simplifying the center.

Details to decide together

  • Measure the projecting stamens as part of the side flower.
  • Keep the pink flower center open between long filaments.
  • Retain the upper stem arch above the downward bloom.
